The Asian American Journal of Psychology presented the award for Best Journal Article of 2015 to Dr. Matthew R. Lee and his former student Ms. Christina J. Thai (2013) at the Annual Convention of the Asian American Psychological Association.

Psychology alum Jesse Tarr (’08) returns to celebrate the 10th annual “Day with the Dukes”. JMU is hosting Special Olympics for a day devoted to fun and physical activity.

Dr. Kala Melchiori will be joining the Department of Psychology this fall as a tenure-track faculty member.  Dr. Melchiori received her Ph.D. in social psychology from Loyola University Chicago.

Reggie Shaw, a national safe driving advocate, visited to speak about his experience with texting while driving. Reggie had been involved in a major car accident caused by texting while driving which took the lives of two people.
